We were working with a young MS client who was thrown out of her house, where she lived with her mother. Her mother helped with her care, and recently remarried. Her new husband did not want our client in the home.

Another male client of ours lived in his sister’s garage, and all the while she was stealing his social security checks. 

I have had to call protective services on a client’s spouse who verbally abused and demeaned her.

Unfortunately, MS patients are abused far more than anyone would have ever imagined. This abuse can be physical, verbal, financial and neglect.
